ABOUT ME

Twenty years of experience with nonprofits have allowed me to help organizations and individuals find their power and purpose. In the past five years, I have led organizational change and led numerous strategic and organizational development efforts as part of a vast network of practitioners. My coaching journey started in 2019, when I returned from my homeland of Peru and realized that my deep passion is to help leaders take a step further. The same year I also became a yoga teacher.  These two opportunities came together in a purposeful way when the world was hit by a pandemic. This crisis created an opportunity to delve deeper into coaching as a way to listen to people’s purpose and to create space for a conscious relationship with myself. It is from this place that I come to the consulting and coaching path.

I seek to create a space that is liberatory for all partners to question and work to dismantle systems of oppression. I identify as Latina, am bilingual in Spanish and use she/hers pronouns. I am a learner always and currently learning more about my ancestral lineage of indigenous peoples from the Americas.

Values

Inclusion– Inclusivity that fosters a deep sense of trust is at the heart of healthy relationships. It is from this place that I seek to create the personal and organizational transformations needed to deepen a sense of “being seen and heard.” This is especially important for leaders who strive to create spaces that are liberatory in racial and social justice organizations and coalitions.

Connection – We are all intrinsically connected, and it is from this place that I work in all areas of my life. The concept of Ayni, in Incan culture, calls on us to work with mutuality and reciprocity. As one is impacted, so are we all. It is this place of a deep bond with all living beings, that allows me to approach my work with a sense of true purpose.

Reflection– I am a true believer in taking the time to step back and reflect. If we are rushing to put out fires all the time- both personally and in the workplace, we are often missing the bigger picture. This rushing can lead to burn out. In my approaches to organizational change work as well as personal transformation work, I seek to take “sacred pauses” and longer pauses in the form of retreat to delve deeper into purpose and reflect what I am hearing clients are truly seeking.

I hold a JD from New York Law School and a professional coaching certification from Leadership that Works. I received my yoga teaching certificate in 2019 and have a Certificate in Mindful Leadership from Spirit Rock Insight Meditation Center. I live in Silver Spring, Maryland with my family.
